Andrew MacKay and Amanda Winters co-author an article in Risk Management in Canadian Health Care

In their article, “Assisted Suicide: Carter, Bentley, and the Law of End-Of-Life Decision Making”, Andrew and Amanda, members of our Wills, Estates + Trusts Practice, touch upon a few of the major arguments for and against physician assisted suicide. Given the unanimous decision by the Supreme Court of Canada allowing individuals to choose the means and timing of their death, physician assisted suicide is likely to be a hot and controversial topic for the rest of the year as Parliament decides whether or not to implement new legislation.
