Eileen Vanderburgh Appointed Chair of the Law Foundation of British Columbia

We are pleased to announce that Eileen Vanderburgh has been elected as Chair of the Law Foundation for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2017. Eileen succeeds Warren Milman who has been Chair of the Law Foundation since 2015.

Eileen is a partner at the firm and leads the Information and Privacy and Appellate Advisory groups and has a broad litigation and administrative law practice. She has been on the Executive of the CBA Administrative Law Subsection and has a rich variety of experience in a number of sectors, including the not for profit sector.

Eileen has been a Governor of the Law Foundation since 2013, serving on the New Grants (2014), Finance (2014, 2015 and 2016 as Chair), and Policy and Planning (since 2015) committees during that time.

The Law Foundation of British Columbia is a non-profit foundation. It receives and distributes the interest on funds held in lawyers’ pooled trust accounts maintained in financial institutions. The Law Foundation funds projects and programs throughout BC that benefit the public in the following areas: legal education, legal research, legal aid, law reform, and law libraries.
