Business Development Manager
Tammey George joined Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang in 2016 as their Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Tammey and her team are responsible for identifying and implementing marketing and business development opportunities through innovative programs such as sponsorships, advertising and public relations and for responding to requests for proposals. Her department is also responsible for internal and external communication of the firm’s brand, website and social media platforms. Working with internal stakeholders, she develops and executes strategic marketing programs for individual Practice Groups, Partners and Associates to increase their profile and reputation in the marketplace.
Tammey has more than 20 years of experience developing and leading communications and marketing programs for private and public companies throughout North America. Her expertise includes corporate communications, media relations, issues management, project management, crisis communications and marketing. She is also active in her community, co-chairing the Gala of Grace, an annual fundraising event bringing awareness and support to the North Shore Crisis Services Society.
Tammey is a member of NEXT Leaders Council, a forum for emerging business leaders, as well as the Legal Marketing Association and the BC Legal Management Association.
An avid learner, Tammey achieved a graduate certificate in Professional Communications Management from Royal Roads University in 2010 and is currently working on an Advanced Social Media Strategy Certificate from Newhouse Syracuse University & Hootsuite.
When she isn’t focused on learning more about the latest trends in marketing, you can find Tammey gliding across the water in a quad scull in Deep Cove with her husband, four children and dog cheering her on.
