
Dana Romanick was called to the BC Bar in 2004 and is a member of the firm’s Insurance Law and Environmental Law Practices. Her practice is primarily litigation-based with an emphasis on insurance defence.
Dana obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree from the University of Windsor in 1995; a Diploma in Environmental Studies from McGill University in 1996; and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 2003. While attending law school, Dana participated as an editor of the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues and volunteered with Community Legal Aid.
Before deciding to begin a career in law, Dana worked at Ford Motor Company’s Essex Engine Plant where she participated in the coordination of the Ford Production System project. The project focus was to implement principles of lean manufacturing on the plant floor.
Prior to joining Alexander Holburn, Dana was an associate in a Vancouver-based boutique law firm where she practiced general litigation and insurance defence litigation.
Dana has trial experience in both the British Columbia Supreme Court and Provincial Court.
Dana has participated in many community organizations. While living in Ontario, she coordinated a capital fund drive for the Windsor & District Chamber of Commerce, volunteered and raised funds for the AIDS Committee of Windsor, and was a member of the Big Sister’s Association of Greater Windsor.
In her spare time Dana enjoys hiking, trail running, snowboarding and snow shoeing on the local mountains. Dana also participates in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure each year.
Prior to obtaining her law degree, Dana spent a year traveling in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.
