PRACTICE PROFILE

David Busch is a member of the firm’s Insurance Practice. Prior to joining Alexander Holburn, David completed his articles at the Edmonton office of a Canadian national law firm.

David is also a registered nurse and has worked at the University of Alberta Hospital and Sudbury Regional Hospital in Pediatrics and Critical Care respectively.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

David has appeared before all levels of the Alberta Court for chambers applications for a variety of matters. He has also appeared before the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board. Recently, David successfully managed a complex Human Rights Claim through the Ontario Human Rights Commission process.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Prior to law school, David has held instructor positions in numerous fields including Clinical Instructor at both the University of Alberta, Faculty of Nursing and the Laurentian University Faculty of Nursing; First Aid Instructor through the Red Cross; lifeguard and swimming instructor at Laurentian University; English teacher at the South West Institute of Technology in the Sichuan Province of the People’s Republic of China; and water-ski instructor in Vermont, USA.

David is a recreational triathlete and has completed numerous races including Escape from Alcatraz, St. Croix International Ironman, and Ironman Canada. David is also fluent in French.
