
Hollis completed her articles with Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP in 2006 and is a member of the firm’s Insurance Practice group. Her practice is primarily litigation-based, with a focus on insurance defence and human rights defence.
Hollis obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia with a First Class Standing in 2001 and spent a year at the University of Auckland as part of the International Student Exchange Program through UBC. Hollis obtained her LL.B from UBC in 2005 and was called to the BC Bar in 2006.
Representative experiences include appearing before the British Columbia Supreme Court on matters involving Occupier’s Liability, professional negligence, and other commercial and insurance disputes. Hollis has also been involved in files concerning employment law, insurance coverage opinions and coverage litigation, defence of personal injury claims, including serious injuries such as traumatic spinal injuries, and complex class action and multi-party law suits being tried as class actions. Hollis has drafted arguments for and attended before the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal and the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal.
