Jason Lattanzio is a member of the firm’s Insurance Law and Strata Property Law Practice Groups. His practice is primarily litigation based with an emphasis on insurance defence work.
Jason obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in 1997, and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 2002. While attending law school, Jason assisted with the Law Students Legal Advice Program, where he provided advice and support on a wide variety of matters from criminal law to commercial disputes.
Jason is actively involved in the training and education of young lawyers. He has presented numerous in-house seminars within the firm, and has been a guest speaker for The Law Society of BC’s Professional Legal Training Course (PLTC), dealing with Chambers advocacy (September 2007, February 2009). He has also supervised and marked students’ research assignments in the Advance Legal Research and Writing Course for the UBC Faculty of Law.
Prior to joining Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP, Jason was an associate in a Vancouver litigation firm, where he practiced in commercial litigation, debt collection and strata property law.
Jason has trial experience in both the British Columbia Supreme Court and Provincial Court, on a variety of matters including ICBC defence work, commercial disputes, debt collection and strata property litigation.
Prior to law school, Jason volunteered for a number of years with young offenders through a mentoring program run through the Pacific Legal Education Association. He also volunteered and provided assistance at the Burnaby Youth Open Detention Centre.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys playing sports, cooking as well as reading. He enjoys travelling, and has travelled extensively throughout Europe and Asia.
