Prior to Alexander Holburn, Jill worked for a number of years in the financial services industry and was also a research assistant in the area of insolvency law to Dr. Janis P. Sarra.
Jill is a registered Canadian Trade-mark Agent.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
- Protection and enforcement of clients’ intellectual property rights through trade-mark and copyright registration.
- Assisting Canadian and US corporations to search and analyze trade-mark use and registerability potential.
- Assisting clients register trade-marks and copyrights.
- Preparing licensing and other contracts for software, video game and other technology companies.
- Assisting clients in incorporating, and buying and selling businesses
- Preparing shareholders’ agreements
- General corporate services including advising companies on issues relating to corporate structure and management as well as directors’ and officers’ liability.
- Provide advice to all types of creditors and other affected parties concerning insolvency proceedings including Companies’ Creditor Arrangement Act proceedings.
