Kevin McLaren completed his articles with Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP in September 2005, and is a member of the firm’s Insurance Practice. His practice is primarily litigation based with a focus on insurance defence and subrogation matters.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

• Trial experience in both the Provincial and Supreme Court. 
• Successfully defended appeal on limitation period issue in BC Court of Appeal. 
• Successfully made written applications before The Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal. 
• Acts as counsel and provided risk management advice to one of British Columbia’s largest road maintenance companies. 
• Drafted liability waivers for numerous sports and recreation ventures and provided coverage opinions in the sports and recreation fields.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Prior to commencing law school, Kevin traveled extensively throughout Asia, Africa, Europe and Central and South America, and worked as a rough neck in the oil and gas industry.

Kevin is currently training for his first marathon and is an active member of the firm’s Law League basketball team.
