
Lisa completed her articles with Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP in 2008 and is a member of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial and Insurance Practices. Her primary areas of practice are Strata Property Law and Residential Tenancy Law.
Lisa received her Bachelor of Arts degree (with Distinction) from the University of Victoria, earning a Double Major in English and Philosophy. Prior to joining Alexander Holburn, Lisa worked in the law reform field as a legal researcher with the British Columbia Law Institute and the Canadian Centre for Elder Law Studies.
Lisa has assisted senior counsel with hearings before the British Columbia Supreme Court, and has appeared before the British Columbia Supreme Court in Chambers. Lisa also has settlement conference experience before the Provincial Court of British Columbia (Small Claims).
Lisa has assisted in the preparation of seminars for the Condominium Home Owner’s Association (CHOA), the Professional Association of Managing Agents (PAMA), and the British Columbia Mediation & Arbitration Institute (BCAMI).
Lisa also teaches a continuing studies course in Law and Tenant Relations at Vancouver Community College as part of its Building Manager Certificate Program. In April 2010, Lisa taught a PAMA seminar on ending residential tenancies at Buildex Vancouver, Western Canada’s largest conference and exposition for real estate, property management, interior design, architecture, renovation and construction.
Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends. An amusement park enthusiast, Lisa also enjoys seeking out the latest thrill-ride attractions.
