International Women’s Day (March 8th) was first observed in 1911 in Germany, and is now a major global celebration honoring women’s economic, political and social achievements. On Friday, March 6th, we carried on this tradition by recognizing the many notable achievements of the women at Alexander Holburn. In celebration of International Women’s Day, our Women’s Forum hosted a champagne breakfast. This event served as an opportunity for us to discuss what our firm can do to be #EachforEqual, the campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2020.
To do our part in forging a gender equal world, we partnered with Atira Women’s Resource Society again to collect much-needed items and raised over $1600 in donations. All proceeds go towards critical services for women and children in need, such as access to hot meals, clean clothes and a warm bed.
