Courtenay Catlin is a member of the firm’s Defamation + Publication Risk Management Practice Group, Information + Privacy, and Insurance practice groups.

Courtenay’s primary practice is litigation based. She has worked on a variety of disputes in the areas of defamation, professional negligence, personal injury, privacy, anti-SLAPP, occupier’s liability, class actions, and human rights. She has represented clients before the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Courtenay articled with the firm before being called to the bar in May 2021. During law school, Courtenay participated in the Willms & Shier Environmental Law Moot, was the president of the environmental law club, volunteered with a poverty law clinic, and studied abroad at the University of Helsinki in Helsinki, Finland.

Prior to law school, Courtenay completed a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Gender Studies and worked in the service industry.

On A Personal Note...

Courtenay loves yoga, running (slowly), and spending her free time outdoors with a good book (or napping).
