Daniel Thompson is an Associate and a member of the firm’s Construction + Engineering and Insurance Practices. His practice is litigation based and is focused on construction and engineering litigation.
Prior to practising law, Daniel practised in engineering. His focus included Project Management in the civil construction industry as well as on forensic investigations and building sciences. Daniel was a Project Engineer at a leading Vancouver engineering firm that specialized in forensic fire investigations and fire and life safety in building design and was also a Project Engineer with the building sciences group of an international engineering firm in Ottawa where he was involved with construction projects as well as leading forensic investigations of structure fires, corrosive failures, and swimming pool failures. Daniel also gained experience as a Project Manager while working with a large Community Housing Corporation as well as for a land development company in British Columbia. Daniel obtained his certification as a Fire, Explosion and Arson Investigator and has been qualified as an expert by the Ontario Superior Court.
Daniel has represented clients in both the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court.

On A Personal Note
Daniel is currently based in Kelowna, British Columbia, but maintains his practice in both Kelowna and Vancouver. In his spare time, Daniel can be found enjoying all that the Okanagan has to offer. His hobbies include kayaking, hiking, bike riding, and enjoying the various wineries all across the Okanagan and Similkameen Valley.
