Nick joined Alexander Holburn as a summer articled student in 2019. He will be returning as an articled student in December 2021 following a clerkship at the BC Supreme Court.

In law school, Nick was a student clinician for the Innocence Project and volunteered for the BC Civil Liberties Association. He also worked as a research assistant, served as an assistant editor for the UBC Law Review, and was involved with the student group Law Students for Decriminalization and Harm Reduction.

Prior to attending law school, Nick received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. During the period between his B.A. and law school, Nick worked in several positions, including those of tutor, essay grader, and mental health worker for the Portland Hotel Society.

Nick is interested in all areas of litigation, though he is particularly drawn to the practice areas of privacy and administrative law. He also has a significant academic interest in Charter litigation.

On A Personal Note...

Nick spends much of his time outside of work writing and playing music. His band has a live karaoke side project that plays 90s pop-punk tunes. Nick also plays and coaches softball and curling, though most of his physical activity during the pandemic has involved long walks with his partner and their dog, Seamus.
