Representative Experience
- Provides advice to institutional and private lenders and borrowers regarding enforcement proceedings, such as foreclosure, receivership, bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings
- Provides advice to all types of creditors and other affected parties concerning insolvency proceedings generally, including bankruptcy proposals and Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act proceedings
- Provides advice to clients, including lenders, on all types of environmental issues, including on their rights, duties and obligations under the Environmental Management Act
- Has considerable experience in commercial lending, and has represented financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers in all types of lending transactions

- Sterling Shoes – represented landlords
- New Future CCAA proceeding – represented mortgagee of multiple properties, including negotiation of plans of arrangement and forbearance agreements
- Nortel Networks CCAA proceeding – represented a supplier in relation to a variety of matters, including cross border issues
- Pope & Talbot CCAA proceedings – represented several creditors in relation to fraudulent preference actions commenced by the trustee in the related US proceedings
- Redfern Resources CCAA and Receivership – represented US lien holder in acquiring title to a hoverbarge;
- West Bay CCAA – represented warranty claimant
- Pine Valley CCAA proceedings – represented supplier in extensive negotiations relating to plan and intercompany debt claims
- New Skeena Forest Products Inc. bankruptcy – represented insurer in relation to various matters
- Mariposa CCAA proceedings – represented landlords
- 360 Networks CCAA proceeding – Represented large equipment lessor and landlord
