Esher Madhur is a member of the firm’s Health, Appeals, Administrative Law, and Local Government Practices.

Esher has a general litigation practice. She has primarily acted for public bodies, including health authorities, municipalities, and the Crown. Esher regularly acts as counsel in matters before all levels of court in British Columbia and the BC Human Rights Tribunal, and has also appeared as counsel in the Supreme Court of Canada.

Prior to joining Alexander Holburn in 2022, Esher clerked for six justices of the BC Supreme Court (2016-2017) as well as the Honourable Justice Sheilah Martin of the Supreme Court of Canada (2018-2019), articled and practiced with a prominent Vancouver litigation boutique, and spent a brief time working as a federal prosecutor.

Esher is a proud graduate of Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law and an alumna of the University of Toronto (Victoria College), where she obtained an Honours B.A. in Philosophy.

On A Personal Note...

In her own time, Esher can be found enjoying meals with friends/family, walking her giant dog, listening to audiobooks, and/or travelling.
