We are proud to announce that Niklas Botte is our 2020 Ernie Alexander, Q.C. Memorial Scholarship recipient!
Niklas is in the final stages of his studies at the BCIT School of Transportation (Airline and Flight Operations Program). He received his Commercial Pilot Licence in December 2020 and has successfully passed his Multi-Engine flight test. He is in the process of working on his instrument rating, which will bring him to the completion of his program. Niklas wants to become a flight instructor and hopes that he can give back to the industry in this way. We are delighted that Niklas will be sharing his joy of flying with others and inspiring future pilots.
Because the British Columbia Aviation Council Silver Wing Banquet was cancelled in 2020, we were not able to celebrate Niklas’ achievement in person. Instead, our Aviation Practice Group met and congratulated Niklas by video conference. We are pleased to honour such a deserving recipient, and we wish him the best in his future endeavours.
In memory of Ernie Alexander, QC, we are delighted to award an annual $2,000 scholarship in his name. This scholarship is presented to an aviation or aerospace student who demonstrates achievement in his or her community and excels academically.
