Prior to joining Alexander Holburn, Esher Madhur worked as a Crown prosecutor and practiced at a Vancouver litigation boutique. Esher has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in BC and the Supreme Court of Canada. Esher has representative experience in administrative law, criminal law, and defending government or public bodies in civil litigation.
Esher has also clerked for the Honourable Justice Sheilah Martin of the Supreme Court of Canada and six Justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
“I was immediately impressed by and drawn to Alexander Holburn when I first visited the firm as a law student, so it feels natural to now be joining the team. I am excited to jump back into private practice at a new firm after some time in government and a couple of years of working from home during the pandemic. I look forward to getting to know my new colleagues, about whom I hear only great things, and building some expertise in health and local government litigation to assist the firm’s clients,” says Esher.
“Esher will add further depth to our firm’s growing Local Government and Health Law Practices. Her experience will be an asset to our firm and our clients,” says Jeremy Poole, leader of our Local Government Practice and Dianna Hwang, leader of our Health Law Practice.
Congratulations, Esher, and welcome to Alexander Holburn!
