CHOA Seminar: Bill 44 – 2022 Building and Strata Statutes Amendments Act

Alexander Holburn Partner and Leader of the Strata Property Group, Lisa Mackie, recently spoke about Bill 44 and the recent amendments to the Strata Property Act at a CHOA webinar held on November 30th, 2022. Some of the changes highlighted in Lisa’s discussion included:

• The immediate repeal of rental restriction bylaws across the province;
• The introduction of the 55 year and older age restriction limit;  and
• The allowance of Electronic General Meetings without the need for a bylaw
