Paul Slinkov-Albul joined Alexander Holburn as part of the 2026/2027 Articling Cohort in September 2026.
Paul obtained a law degree with honors from Baikal State University in Irkutsk, Siberia. He practiced law in Russia for 14 years, where he held legal positions at financial institutions and corporate groups with a focus on due diligence, secured transactions, bankruptcy, and complex litigation. Before moving to Canada, Paul handled and managed various legal projects in manufacturing, energy, real estate, and agriculture.
In October 2023, Paul joined AHBL as a legal assistant, settling into the firm’s insurance defence group. In July 2024, he completed a Master of Administrative Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and, during 2025 and early 2026, fulfilled the NCA requirements for foreign-trained lawyers, including coursework at UBC and York University.
After a break from legal practice, Paul is eager to return to lawyering and continue building his legal career in Canada, where he hopes to put down roots professionally and personally.
