Esther Zhang joined Alexander Holburn as an articling student in May 2026.
Esther attended the Henry N.R. Jackman Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto where she also volunteered as a legal researcher with Pro Bono Students Canada.
Esther earned her LL.B. from Durham University in the United Kingdom. While at Durham, Esther worked as a research assistant in commercial law, AI, and technology law. Her primary contribution was to the UKRI Responsible AI Project, whose findings went on to inform UK government policy on AI regulation. She also served as Faculty Representative for Social Sciences and Health on the University’s Students’ Union, regularly advocating for the student voice before senate and faculty committee hearings.
Esther is primarily interested in commercial litigation and general business law.
