Jarrett is a 2L summer student hired for the summer of 2026. He has a varied background both professionally and educationally. He worked in recruitment for a variety of industries for many years, and left to obtain his M.A., after which he spent several years on the frontline of the film industry coordinating COVID safety measures for major television series.

An enthusiastic mooter, Jarrett has participated in the Dean’s Cup competitive moot and the BC Law Schools moot and remains a strong proponent for oral advocacy. He is also one of the faculty tutors, appointed to coach and support the student base and run large-format tutorial lectures for the 1L students.

Jarrett was proud to receive recognition for his academic efforts by being on the Dean’s List and receiving the Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang 1L Scholarship in his first year. He was also a semifinalist for the Dean’s Cup that year.

Jarrett is actively interested in Labour and Employment law, however he is a lifelong learner, and eager to find out what others in the firm are excited to work on before setting down firm tracks for himself.

On A Personal Note...

Jarrett is a tabletop game enthusiast with a lifelong love of storytelling. He also has experience in improvisational and sketch comedy, and has done stage and audio acting for small community and online projects over the years. He also won his hometown’s one and only slam poetry prize many years ago, in a fierce rock-paper-scissors showdown, before the competition was terminated. He contests that this makes him undefeated.
