Laura M. Hanson is a member of the firm’s Insurance and Construction + Engineering Practices. Laura regularly acts as defence counsel for a wide variety of matters such as product liability, construction, personal injury and out of province motor vehicle claims. She also acts for rental car insurers, defends professionals such as insurance brokers and engineers, and acts as coverage counsel for insurers. In doing this work, Laura regularly acts for major insurance companies and companies who are self-insured.
Derek Frenette is a member of the firm’s Wills, Estates + Trusts, Labour + Employment, Business Disputes, Intellectual Property + Technology, and Insolvency + Restructuring Practices. His practice is litigation focused and includes estate, employment and commercial litigation matters. Derek has represented clients in Federal Court, the British Columbia Supreme Court and the British Columbia Provincial Court, as well as numerous tribunals and administrative bodies. He acts for a wide variety of clients, including individuals, businesses of all sizes, local governments, and non-profits.
Jennifer O’Leary is a member of the firm’s Insurance and Local Government Practices. Jennifer defends insureds on matters relating to municipal law, administrative law, personal injury and property damage with a focus on defending professionals. In addition to her defence practice, Jennifer pursues subrogated claims on behalf of her clients as a member of the firm’s Subrogation Recovery team.
Ryan N. Howe is a lawyer in the firm’s Business Law Group and a member of the Corporate/Commercial, Mergers + Acquisitions, Corporate Finance + Securities, Wills, Estates + Trusts, Franchise, Cannabis and Real Estate Practices. Ryan’s focus is providing private business owners of all shapes and sizes with legal solutions for themselves, their families and their businesses. From advising newly accredited professionals starting their practice to the seasoned entrepreneur, Ryan’s multi-disciplinary practice allows him to assist and advise his clients across the gamut of their legal needs.
