Gratitude, charity and education on International Women’s Day

Leading up to International Women’s Day we highlighted some of the “Difference Makers” in our firm who make a positive impact on the community through their mentorship of others, volunteer work, and leadership on an array of boards. Today, we held a panel inviting our lawyers, students and managers to discuss what #PressforProgress means to them, progress they’ve seen in the workplace, positive mentorship they’ve received and advice they have for others. We finished off the day with our Waffles for Women fundraising event to collect much-needed items and funds for the women and children affected by violence who rely on Atira Women’s Resource Society. Members from Atira were on hand to answer questions, impart knowledge and accept donations. At the end of the day, we all felt incredibly grateful for the trailblazers who have pressed for progress and equality and the volunteers who work tirelessly to lend a hand when we need it most.
