Brianne Ely is a corporate, commercial and privacy lawyer in Vancouver, British Columbia.

On the commercial side, Brianne works with clients on a variety of commercial agreements, including independent contractor agreements, services agreements, terms of service, website terms of use, end user license agreements, technology and intellectual property contracts, contest rules, influencer agreements, mobile app terms of service, and waivers of liability.
She also assists clients with banking and financing matters, helping them secure and document the financing they need to start, grow, acquire, or restructure their businesses.
Brianne is passionate about how privacy laws impact business owners. In particular, she advises clients on compliance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), privacy policies, consents to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information, contractual safeguards to govern transfers of personal information, representations and warranties in M&A transactions related to privacy compliance, and transfers of personal information in the context of business transactions.
Brianne is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
She also supports her firm colleagues in the Family Law and Wills, Estates + Trusts practice groups with the corporate aspects of their matters, helping individuals navigate the business and corporate issues that arise in these areas.
Brianne is fluently bilingual and looks forward to providing legal services to her clients in both French and English. She enjoys working with co-counsel in Quebec and Ontario with respect to the incorporations of unlimited liability corporations (ULCs).
