Diana Klassen is a member of the firm’s Aviation and Insurance Practice Groups. Her practice is litigation based with a focus on aviation law and insurance defence.
Diana regularly represents and advises clients such as insurers and airlines in matters involving various regulatory, commercial, and liability issues. Diana has a strong insurance background and is experienced in dealing with a wide variety of legal claims including personal or bodily injury claims, insurance coverage claims, claims relating to aviation accidents and incidents, disability insurance claims, and complex multi-party matters.
Diana has conducted trials in both the Supreme and Provincial Courts of British Columbia and has litigated various claims in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. In addition, she is experienced in utilizing various alternative dispute resolution procedures and works to successfully and consistently achieve negotiated settlements on behalf of her clients.
Diana enjoys mentoring other lawyers and students and regularly presents at in-firm professional development seminars. Diana is active in the firm’s recruitment team and is also a member of the Women’s Forum, a group committed to supporting the professional growth and personal empowerment of women within the firm and across the legal profession.
