Sabdeep Sidhu is an Associate and a member of our Construction + Engineering Practice Group.
Sabdeep’s practice primarily focuses on construction and insurance defence litigation, with additional experience in commercial leasing and real estate disputes. He works with developers, contractors, professionals, and insurers, on matters involving construction defects, delay and payment claims, builders’ liens, property damage, and errors and omissions claims. Clients value his practical, people-focused approach and his ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, straightforward terms. From the outset of a file, he works with clients to define their goals, assess risk, and develop a strategy that is both effective and cost-conscious.
Sabdeep manages all aspects of litigation files and has represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia. His experience includes matters ranging from urgent injunctions and lien security applications to summary judgment motions and dismissals for want of prosecution. He also has extensive experience in resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution.
Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Sabdeep earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, where he played varsity football for the Thunderbirds, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, including a semester on exchange at the University of Hong Kong. During law school, he volunteered with Access Pro Bono, served as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Club, sat on the Law Students’ Society, and won the regional Dentons Negotiation Competition in his first year.
