Tenley joined Alexander Holburn as a summer student in 2019 and returned for articles in 2021 after completing a clerkship with the BC Supreme Court.
Prior to law school, Tenley completed a joint mathematics and economics degree and was recognized for her undergraduate success by being awarded the Allard Scholar Entrance Scholarship. She maintained her high academic standing throughout law school, including receiving the Hon. R.L. Maitland Memorial Scholarship for the highest academic standing in her second year. Tenley was also highly engaged in her law school community throughout her time at the University of British Columbia, competing in the BC Law Schools Moot, assisting first-year students as a peer tutor, and serving as graduation committee co-chair in her final year. She also represented clients working at the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and was awarded the John Herbert Frederic Stanton Award for her contributions.
Tenley has a keen interest in litigation and particularly enjoys working through complex legal issues using the logical principles developed during her undergraduate degree and the legal knowledge developed during her JD. Her time at the BC Supreme Court allowed her to engage with a wide variety of litigation matters and she hopes to draw on those experiences while at Alexander Holburn.
