Julia is the Senior Corporate Paralegal at Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP. She is involved in the support document drafting for all of the major transaction matters for our clients including purchasing a business or assets, restructuring of corporate entities and incorporation of new entities.
She provides support for our Not-For-Profit/Society clients. She is the liaison for the Corporate Commercial practice with the British Columbia Registrar of Companies and at Corporations Canada. She has also been a presenter for Continuing Legal Education BC seminars for both lawyers and other legal support staff. Julia also works with the lawyers to review and implement statutory changes that affect our business clients.
She also manages the corporate records department in regards to administrative matters and work distribution.
Julia has two Bachelor degrees from the University of British Columbia: the first in History with a minor in International Relations, the second in Religious Studies with a minor in Classical Studies.
Julia obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Capilano University in 2006.
She has worked in many industries including retail, restaurant and hospitality and most recently, before joining the legal world, she worked for two years for one of the largest mining conglomerates in the world.
Outside of work her interests are expanding her foodie obsession by scouring for new local vendors of unique British Columbia food products, (yes, she has picked organic hazelnuts in Agassiz, reading and spending time with her two young daughters (and husband).
