Anja Nel is an Associate and a member of the firm’s Police and Administrative Law Practice Group.
Anja maintains a broad civil litigation and administrative law practice. She represents clients before the British Columbia Provincial Court and British Columbia Supreme Court, and regularly appears before administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal, acting for both employers and service-providers. She also has experience before the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal, in Police Act matters, and labour grievance arbitrations.
As part of her civil litigation practice, Anja represents clients in class actions, fire loss and complex liability claims, police and municipal liability matters, and defamation disputes.
In her final year at law school, Anja participated in the year-long Clerkship Program at the Provincial Court of Alberta and was awarded the Jones and de Villars’ Prize in Administrative Law.
