Jenaya Copithorne is an Associate and a member of our Construction + Engineering, Administrative Law, and Local Government Practice Groups.
Jenaya completed her articles at the firm before becoming an associate. During her articles, Jenaya gained experience in various practice areas, including construction litigation, administrative law and municipal law, and represented clients in both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Throughout law school, Jenaya worked as a research assistant at the Canada Climate Law Initiative, tracking developments in climate litigation and reporting obligations. During her 2L summer, she worked as a legal summer student at an energy utility in Vancouver, focusing on regulatory compliance and project permitting. She also spent a summer assisting with a review of legal and policy frameworks shaping local government responses to natural disasters such as floods and wildfires.
Jenaya received the 2023 Lawson Lundell LLP Prize in Securities Regulation and the 2022 Norman A.M. Mackenzie Scholarship for academic achievement.
Before attending law school, Jenaya completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at UBC, graduating with high distinction.
